My career in real estate was born out of a dissatisfaction with the practice of law. I realized I had a stronger passion for helping people in real estate transactions than in court. But I still consider myself a “recovering” attorney.
I still put that legal background to work for my clients and my agents when I need to. It’s a value add you can’t find with brokers who don’t have that to offer. It’s been helpful for clients in both traditional transactions and those that can be described as, shall we say, more unique.
Combine my legal knowledge with my experience as a broker, investor and property manager, and you have someone who can help clients in virtually any type of real estate need or situation. Every day, I put that experience to work to make sure I’m doing the best work I can for everyone I work with and everyone who works with me – even if it means sometimes advising clients to go against what may seem like the common wisdom.
I co-founded Abio Properties because I believe that the traditional real estate brokerage model could be better. A more open and collaborative approach to real estate creates a more satisfying client and agent relationships and more successful transactions for everyone involved. People who work with me are going to get the truth and someone who will work hard to get the best possible outcome.
What do I do when I’m not in business mode? You can probably catch me in the front few rows of a concert, watching an independent film, getting creative in the kitchen, or behind a camera. I love this area and still find something new to appreciate about it every day.
